ECPYouth is looking for a new Board member Events to start in December 2025!
What Board Members do:
Board members are responsible for the daily affairs of the organisation and for the tasks given by the General Assembly. Their main tasks consist of amplifying the voices of young people in Brussels and national centers of decision-making, promoting policies rooted in Christian values, and supplying youth with necessary skills and networking potential. We are organizing annual political events in countries all over Europe and are always looking for possibilities to connect with various political and Christian networks.
As Board Member Events of ECPYouth, you are directly responsible for organizing various events in different European countries. Working closely with the Board of ECPYouth, you will organize our yearly conferences, oversee the Christian Changemakers training, invite policymakers and community leaders to share their knowledge, and take a proactive role in engaging young people in meaningful discussions. The variety of ECPYouth activities requires diverse hands-on experience in facilitating debates, panel discussions, and an extensive network to attract meaningful speakers to our gatherings. You must, therefore, be prepared to execute multiple ECPYouth event-management guidelines, come across as a well-structured person, and enthuse the people you work with.

Financial expenses related to ECPYouth service will be covered by ECPYouth.
Who you are:
We are searching for candidates with the following profiles:
A young person of 18 – 35 years old from the EU or EU partner country
Being a faithful Christian, who strongly supports Christian Democratic political values declared in Odesa Declaration
Solid understanding of the current political landscape and processes
Strong organizational skills and public speaking
Experience with organising events (abroad)
Analytical, critical and constructive thinking
Strong social skills and teamwork
Experience with politics and press is a plus
Physically present during organized events
Available for two years as a Board Member
Workload:
Minimum two hours of communication per week, minimum four hours of individual work per week, online board meetings at least once a month, four face-to-face meetings a year and other conferences or events organised by ECPYouth and its members.
Eligibility criteria:
To be eligible for Board membership, you must be under the age of 35at the date of the General Assembly in December 2025and meet the requirements set out in the function description. Throughout the selection procedure, your experience and skills will betaken into account. The Selection Commission reserves the right to consider the composition of the Board (male/female, nationality, faith, Member Organisation etc.).

Applications should be accompanied by a résumé (Curriculum Vitae),a cover letter in which you describe your plans ideas and contribution for ECPYouth for the coming years, and are commendation letter on your behalf. The deadline for applications isOctober31, 2023.
Selection procedure:
After sending in your application, you will receive a confirmation that we received it. The Selection Committee will contact you to schedule an interview in the first half of November, which is a crucial step for the Selection Committee to decide whether to propose you as a candidate Board Member to the General Assembly. Shall your candidacy get an approval, you will get a chance to publicly present yourself at the General Assembly to ECPYouth Members and get voted on from the list of candidates. Your presence at the General Assembly (December 6)is required to be elected as a Board member. (The travel expenses will be compensated).
