European Christian Political Youth Board Vacancy - Communications
ECPYouth is looking for a new Board member Communications to start in December 2023!

What Board Member Communications does:
You manage and oversee all external communication of ECPYouth by ensuring the ongoing coherent online presence across multiple platforms. This includes handling all the content-related inquiries, coordinating ECPYouth's branding strategy, and taking a proactive role in promotions. Your ongoing tasks include editing the website and social media, writing press releases on ECPYouth's activities, and coordinating the online and offline promotions of the events. You are also responsible for the camera and content delivery during the in-person events. You must, therefore, have a creative mindset, hands-on personality, and be prepared to work in close cooperation with the Board for quick task delivery.

Financial expenses related to ECPYouth service will be covered by ECPYouth and be able to travel in Europe for conferences. Keep in mind, this is a non-paid position.

Who you are: We are searching for candidates with the following profiles:

  • Being a faithful Christian, who strongly supports Christian Democratic political values declared in Odessa Declaration
  • Strong understanding of both online and offline media; experience with managing social media/coordinating communication in an organizational setting is a strong asset
  • Ability to create quality content with camera and other technical means
  • Creative mindset and proactive readiness to implementing new communication strategies
  • Thinking on the spot and quickly acting on the given tasks
  • Visual orientation and strong storytelling capacity
  • Team player with developed social skills
  • Experience with politics and press is a plus
  • You have the intention to be available for at least two years as a Board Member

Workload:
In total minimum six hours of communication per week, online board meetings at least once a month, four face-to-face meetings a year and other conferences or events organised by ECPYouth and its members.

Eligibility criteria:
To be eligible for Board membership, you must be under the age of 35 at the date of the General Assembly in December 2023 and meet the requirements set out in the function description. Throughout the selection procedure, your experience and skills will be taken into account. The Selection Commission reserves the right to consider the composition of the Board (male/female, nationality, faith, Member Organisation etc.).

As applicant you are requested to send your application to our Secretary Valeriia Petrechkiv, secretary@ecpyouth.eu. Applications should be accompanied by a résumé (Curriculum Vitae) and a cover letter in which you describe your plans, ideas and contribution for ECPYouth for the coming years. The deadline for applications is 4 November 2023, 23.59.
Procedure:
Upon having received your application you will receive a confirmation of receipt. After this you will be contacted for an interview by the Selection Commission. After the interview the Selection Committee will decide whether to put you forward as a candidate Board member to the General Assembly. At this General Assembly - which will tentatively take place during the Special GA on beginning of December. During this Assembly the members will vote to elect the Board members from the list of candidates. Your presence at the online General Assembly is required to be elected as a Board member, in which the preference is to be there physical.
