BM Secretary
What we do
Board members are responsible for the daily affairs of the organisation and for the tasks given by the General Assembly. Their main task consists of organizing a number of (annual) political events in countries all over Europe. Besides, they are always looking for possibilities to connect with or influence various political and Christian networks.
As Secretary of ECPYouth, you are at the center of communication within ECPYouth and between ECPYouth and its members and associates. You are responsible for communicating about official events of ECPYouth, for maintaining the organizational core of the organization and for making notes during meetings and assemblies. You have to be an analytical thinker and very well organized. You need good social capabilities and the ability to communicate in a formal manner. You will work closely with all the board members and the General Secretary of ECPYouth in particular.
Who can join & what you gain
Requirements :
- You are a faithful Christian and in strong support of the ECPYouth core (political) values as described in the Odesa Declaration.
- You have an understanding of the concept of the ECPYouth network and its interaction with the current political situation.
- You have secretarial capacities.
- You are able to perform analytical, critical and constructive thinking.
- You have strong social skills and love team work.
- Experience with politics and press is a plus.
- Need to be present to at least one event of ECPYouth.
During your time as a Board Member, you will be part of a fantastic group of people within a much larger network of Christian politicians. ECPYouth grants you a lot of opportunities to meet interesting people and expanding your own network. Financial expenses for ECPYouth will be covered, though the position of Secretary is a non-paid position.
Your tasks as Board Member Secretary are:
- Main communication contact within ECPYouth and with external partners/members.
- Share important updates and Board messages.
- Write minutes for Board Meetings and General Assembly (GA).
- Prepare GA documents and collect resolutions from members.
- Invite Member Organizations and Individual Members to our General Assembly and other events.
- Send newsletters every 3 months.
- Review membership applications and contact potential members.
